Annie Lian is a sustainable fashion designer based in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in Fabric Styling, background in Fine Arts. She likes to intertwine her interest in fashion and fine art by making wearable art. She cuts, repurpose, and add designs on old clothes to renew them. Her commitment to eco-conscious design was further honed through a short course in Sustainable Draping and Pattern-cutting at Central Saint Martins. All pieces are one of one and different from each other.

ABOUT ANNIE

STYLE IS A FORM
OF SELF-EXPRESSION

For the young, bold, and audacious. Annie Lian creates a community of individuals who are not afraid to be different and stand out. She hand-makes garments that convey meaning, emotions, and individuality by using clothing and fabric as an empty canvas. Inspired by the DIY scene, the internet, and urban culture, she handmakes one-of-a-kind pieces for people to feel confident, creative, and comfortable in clothing that helps express themselves. From screen-printing original artwork, hand-painting seams, cutting and sewing fabric, adding patchwork, and playing with form and texture, she turns ordinary pieces of material into wearable art. She attracts an innovative crowd who will revolutionize the fashion industry by promoting sustainability with their authentic and original style.

the intersection of fashion and fine art

Annie fuses fashion and fine art by experimenting with unconventional material. Using resin and moldable plastic, she creates tops that introduce dimensionality and structural innovation to clothing, turning them into wearable sculptures. Annie is also drawn to the process of deconstruction, where she repurposes fabric scraps, treating them as elements in a collage. She carefully drapes and layers these pieces, blending color, texture, and form to create new, dynamic garments. Annie’s ability to transform everyday materials into wearable art exemplifies her commitment to sustainability and her vision of fashion as a multidimensional medium.

the next generation to change the fashion industry

Everything handmade is sustainable in order to support and encourage slow fashion. We are very eco-conscious and do our best to reuse, reduce, and recycle material to preserve their history and create something special. All items have either been pre-owned or handed down from someone close or a complete stranger with their own story. Our goal is to promote a creative way to stop fast fashion and change the fashion industry for the better.
